Failed Flu Shots is a Warning Sign

Scriptures talk about these times as birth pains:

“Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.  All these are the beginning of birth pains.” Matt 24:7-8

This means that the foretold difficulties will grow in intensity and become more frequent.  So far, the influenza in 2018 has not been catastrophic in death toll, but it is still alarming that as of 1/24/18, 30 children have lost their lives to influenza, and some of those were perfectly healthy.  It is becoming clear that the Flu strains continue to mutate faster than we can vaccinate against it.

The famine mentioned in the quote above can easily be caused by growing pestilences as bacteria mutates faster than it can be destroyed, and could destroy crops and infect animals world-wide leading to famine.  It wasn’t long ago that it was an Ebola break out that made the news.  Such news reports are growing in number and intensity.

Imagine someone who can unite the world to eradicate such growing pestilence and famine.  That one will popular.  It’s a reminder that you won’t even want to stop the actions of the anti-Christ when he begins to unite the resources of the earth to extend our lives.  The problem is not his success as a ruler, but what comes later when he declares himself god.

“He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4

Though it’s troubling to see these birth pains growing in intensity, take heart, it also means the time is growing nearer when we’ll see the Lord walking across the skies amidst the trumpet blasts and the powerful voices of praise from a multitude of angels as the rumbling from this joyful noise joins with the palpable force of Jesus’s holiness sending us trembling in unworthy adoration and awe.  Rev 15:3-4
